3 Night Weekend/day GetawayHere is the perfect introduction to Windjamming designed for the first time sailor, young families, travelers looking for a weekend adventure within driving distance, or vacationers who have additional activities planned while visiting the mid coast. Featuring the same on board experience as our longer cruises (Including an Island Lobster bake) but in a shorter time frame… Board Thursday evening, and return Sunday before noon.
4 Night Easy EscapeWe've added an additional sailing day for your Easy Escape. You'll see more of our beautiful bays and Islands with another destination added. A more flexible itinerary with time ashore for sight seeing in a quaint village or port… (Including an Island Lobster bake) our floating feast continues as we anchor for an evening of music, great conversation, and quality time with crew and friends … still with ample time to explore the beautiful mid coast by land upon return to Rockport … Board Sunday evening and return on Thursday before noon…
5 Night Summer Stretch4 full days on the water for passengers who want to stretch out and enjoy a little more time for sailing, swimming, and exploring additional destinations … (Including an on shore Lobster bake) … more great food, more music, and more quality time spent with family and friends! This year our 6 day schedules are connected with two of the premiere Maine Windjammer Association's fleet events. "Schooner Race Week," and "Wooden Boat Sail In." Schooner Gam — Week of June 10th, 2013
Kick off the summer season with a windjammer gathering of the entire fleet! Relive the age of sail during this quiet rendezvous of more than a dozen 19th-century-style sailing ships. Location is determined by the weather of the day! Raft-Up!
Great Schooner Race — July 5th, 2013
More than two dozen tall ships gather for an exciting race from Rockland to Camden, followed by a festive Awards Ceremony/Party with live music by Flash in the Pans. This year marks the 37th anniversary of the Great Schooner Race, North America's largest annual gathering of tall ships! Raft-Up!
Maine Windjammer Parade — Friday, July 12, 2013
The entire windjammer fleet participates in an afternoon Parade of Sail past the mile-long Rockland Breakwater, providing spectators with stunning, close-up views of Maine's fleet of tall ships.
Music Festival — Week of August 5th, 2013
Many of the windjammers gather midweek for the Sweet Chariot Music Festival on Swans Island where more than a dozen groups perform traditional music of the sea. Fleet also gathers on Friday night for live shipboard performances ranging from sea chanteys and blues to story-telling and folk. Raft-Up!
Camden Windjammer Festival — August 30th & September 1st, 2013
The fleet gathers in picturesque Camden Harbor for festivities reminiscent of the days when hundreds of coastal schooners lined the waterfront. Festivities include a parade of sail, flag-raising ceremonies, live music, dancing and fireworks. Raft-Up!
WoodenBoat Sail-In — Week of September 9th, 2013 (Tues. Sept. 10th)
The fall gathering of the fleet takes place in Brooklin, Maine, headquarters of WoodenBoat Magazine and WoodenBoat School. Now in its 27th year, the event includes refreshments, live music, tours and a harbor full of historic schooners.
Down South Meets Down East/Country Music
